Our client, a well-known national law firm, is seeking a Legal Administrative Assistant to join their New York City office. This is a full-time permanent position for an experienced legal administrative assistant. The Legal Administrative Assistant will be providing high-level administrative support to a busy plaintiff mass tort/personal injury practice area. This position requires a high degree of professionalism, confidentiality, discretion, initiative, flexibility, and dependability. They are looking for a confident individual to deliver strong internal and external Best in Class client service with a positive can-do attitude. Responsibilities:

• Preparing, distributing and printing all legal documents and correspondence • Submitting billable hours in a timely manner • Making travel and meeting arrangements • E-filing in state and federal courts • Maintaining and organizing physical and electronic files • Processing expenses • Preparing meeting materials and creating presentations • Conducting research and drafting summaries

Skills:

• Bachelors degree strongly preferred • At least 4 years of Legal Administrative Assistant experience • Experience conducting research and drafting legal documents • Experience preparing complex reports and presentations • Strong writing and analytical skills • Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate effectively • Must be detail-oriented with excellent organizational and multi-tasking skills • Must be able to work independently and in a fast-paced, dynamic environment • Must be able to exercise tact and discretion with confidential and sensitive information • Proficient in document management systems and Microsoft Office software, such as, Word, Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint.
