Communications Manager

Responsibilities:

  • Develop and execute internal and external communication strategies that align with IT initiatives and business goals
  • Translate complex technical information into clear, engaging content for non-technical audiences
  • Manage communications around IT projects, including product launches, system upgrades, and cybersecurity initiatives
  • Collaborate with IT leadership, project managers, and cross-functional teams to ensure consistent messaging
  • Write, edit, and distribute content such as newsletters, emails, press releases, web updates, and executive communications
  • Coordinate communication plans for change management, system outages, and incident response
  • Maintain brand voice and tone across all IT communications
  • Monitor and analyze the effectiveness of communication strategies using metrics and feedback
  • Manage communication tools and platforms (e.g., intranet, email campaigns, collaboration tools)
  • Act as a liaison between IT and other departments to promote transparency and alignment

Skills & Experience:

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to simplify and explain technical concepts clearly
  • Strong understanding of IT systems, digital tools, and terminology
  • Experience with internal communications, stakeholder engagement, and crisis communication
  • Project management and multitasking abilities
  • Proficiency in communication platforms (e.g., Microsoft Teams, Slack, SharePoint)
  • Content creation and editing expertise
  • Strategic thinking and attention to detail
  • Familiarity with change management communication practices
  • Ability to collaborate across departments and with technical teams
