The position offers remote flexibility for a firm based in White Plains, NY

A client of TGC is seeking an experienced Plaintiff Medical Malpractice Attorney to provide immediate support on a contract basis. This role offers the opportunity to work on sophisticated, high-profile matters in a collaborative environment, with the flexibility of part-time hours and remote work.
 

Key Responsibilities

Handle plaintiff-side medical malpractice matters, including complex litigation in state and federal courts

Independently draft litigation-ready pleadings, including complaints, motions to dismiss, and motions for summary judgment

Prepare and respond to discovery requests and manage case documentation

Conduct thorough legal research and produce high-quality written work product

Collaborate with partners and attorneys on case strategy and execution

Support large-scale litigation matters with minimal oversight
 

Qualifications

Juris Doctor (JD) and admission to the New York State Bar (additional admissions a plus)

5–8+ years of complex litigation experience, with a strong focus on plaintiff medical malpractice

Proven ability to manage cases from inception to resolution

Exceptional legal writing, analytical, and research skills

Strong understanding of litigation procedures in both state and federal courts

Ability to work both independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment

Contract-to-hire opportunity with flexible part-time schedule (20–30 hours per week)

Remote work arrangement

Competitive hourly rate commensurate with experience, targeting the equivalent of $170,000–$180,000 annualized

Potential for long-term engagement and conversion to a permanent role
