Location: Lantana, FL
Position Type: Full-time, Exempt
Schedule: Academic Year (per policy)
Salary: $47,884/year (set annually)

We are seeking a Classroom Teacher who is passionate about supporting diverse learners and is committed to academic growth and career preparation for every student.

Position Summary:
As a Classroom Teacher, you will develop and deliver differentiated instruction that aligns with IEP goals and prepares students for both academic success and post-secondary opportunities. You'll collaborate with colleagues and leadership to implement school-wide instructional strategies and maintain a safe, inclusive, and engaging classroom environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare individualized academic instruction based on IEP goals and student data.
  • Implement instructional strategies that support varied learning styles and cognitive abilities.
  • Create a classroom environment that supports growth, safety, and engagement.
  • Maintain accurate records including grades, attendance, assessments, and IEP documentation.
  • Prepare students for required state achievement assessments.
  • Collaborate with other educators and participate in IEP meetings.
  • Attend staff meetings, PLCs, and professional development sessions.
  • Support student behavior plans and enforce school-wide behavior expectations.
  • Ensure compliance with all safety procedures and teaching certification requirements.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree required.
  • Valid Florida Teaching Certificate appropriate for high school instruction.
  • Experience with special education and IEPs strongly preferred.
  • Commitment to differentiated instruction and small group learning.
