High School English & History (Honors Level) 

Position Overview: 
We are seeking a qualified and engaging Substitute Teacher to support Honors-level English and History courses at the high school level. This role involves working with small groups of students and fostering curiosity, critical thinking, and strong lesson mastery in a structured academic environment. 

Schedule & Duration: 

Start Date: January 6, 2026 

End Date: June 6, 2026 (excluding school holidays per Miami-Dade County) 

Workdays: Monday, Tuesday, and Thursday 

Hours: 12:00 PM – 3:45 PM 

Key Responsibilities: 

Deliver Honors-level English and History instruction in a small-group setting 

Engage students through effective instructional strategies that promote curiosity and academic mastery 

Implement digital curriculum platforms, including Edgenuity 

Facilitate assigned labs and classroom activities 

Maintain accurate grading records and documentation 

Adhere to school policies and Department of Education requirements 

Qualifications & Requirements: 

Prior experience teaching or supporting Honors-level high school coursework 

Full compliance with Department of Education and Step-Up Scholarship requirements 

Strong proficiency in English (verbal and written) 

Comfort with digital learning platforms, classroom technology, and grading systems (training provided) 

Spanish or Russian proficiency is preferred, not required
