Description

We are seeking a detail-oriented Cash Receipts Specialist to join our growing accounting team. This role will be responsible for cash application, payment reconciliation, lien waiver processing, and supporting overall accounts receivable operations. The ideal candidate will have strong analytical skills, excellent attention to detail, and advanced Microsoft Excel capabilities.

This position requires strong Excel skills, including Pivot Tables and VLOOKUPs. Candidates without advanced Excel experience will not be considered.

Key Responsibilities

  • Cash Receipts & Accounts Receivable experience.
  • Strong analytical skills, excellent attention to detail, and advanced Microsoft Excel capabilities.
  • Research and resolve unapplied cash, short payments, duplicate payments, and other payment discrepancies.
  • Monitor customer accounts and maintain accurate payment records.
  • Support month-end close activities related to accounts receivable and cash application.
  • Assist with collections follow-up and account reconciliations as needed.

Lien Waiver Processing

  • Review lien waiver requests for accuracy and completeness.
  • Verify invoice amounts, project information, and supporting documentation.
  • Obtain required approvals and signatures.
  • Distribute completed lien waivers to customers and internal stakeholders.

Required Technical Skills

Advanced Microsoft Excel (REQUIRED)

  • Pivot Tables
  • VLOOKUPs/XLOOKUPs
  • Data Analysis
  • Reconciliations
  • Reporting
  • Experience with ERP systems such as Sage Intacct, Sage 300, or similar platforms preferred.

Strong communication skills and the ability to collaborate with accounting, collections, billing, and operations teams are essential.
