About the Role:
We are seeking a detail-oriented accounting professional to support and manage the financial operations of a diverse client portfolio. In this role, you will be responsible for delivering accurate financial reporting, maintaining strong client relationships, and providing insights that help drive business decisions. The ideal candidate brings a solid foundation in accounting, a proactive mindset, and the ability to communicate financial information clearly and effectively.
Key Responsibilities:
- Maintain and manage client financial records, including general ledger activity, accounts payable/receivable, and bank reconciliations
- Prepare and review financial statements (balance sheet, income statement, and cash flow) in accordance with accounting standards and regulatory requirements
- Ensure compliance with GAAP and other applicable guidelines, staying current on industry changes
- Analyze financial data to identify trends, discrepancies, and opportunities for improvement
- Recommend and implement process improvements to increase efficiency and accuracy, including automation where applicable
- Build and maintain strong client relationships by understanding their goals and providing timely financial insights and guidance
Qualifications:
- 2+ years of experience in client accounting services, preferably within a public accounting environment
- Strong understanding of accounting principles, financial reporting, and compliance requirements
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to interact confidently with clients and internal teams
- Highly detail-oriented with strong organizational and problem-solving skills
- Proficiency in accounting systems such as QuickBooks Online, Yardi, Bill.com, NetSuite, Expensify, or similar platforms preferred
Education:
- Bachelor’s degree (BA/BS) in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- CPA preferred
