Description
Our client is seeking an experienced, strategic, and compassionate Director of Clinical Services to oversee comprehensive clinical operations for an organization dedicated to supporting individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities. This leadership role is responsible for directing and elevating the delivery of social work, behavioral intervention, speech therapy, and dietary services across all programs.
Key Responsibilities
- Clinical & Departmental Leadership: Directly supervise senior clinical staff, including the Assistant Director, Behavior Intervention Specialists (BIS), and Qualified Intellectual Disability Professionals (QIDP).
- Operational Management: Oversee intake/discharge processes, lead clinical committees, chair the human rights review committee, and manage the hiring, onboarding, and ongoing training of clinical personnel.
- Compliance & Advocacy: Ensure all therapeutic and behavioral plans strictly adhere to state regulations (OPWDD). Serve as the primary administrative liaison between clinical teams, state agencies, and families or advocates.
- Crisis Support: Conduct regular on-site visits to review clinical documentation and participate in an administrative on-call rotation to provide crisis intervention support.
Qualifications & Requirements
- Education & Credentials: Must hold a Master’s degree in psychology, social work, or a related human services field, alongside an active LCSW or BCBA certification.
- Professional Experience: A minimum of 5 years of dedicated experience working with individuals on the autism spectrum or with developmental disabilities. Prior experience navigating state regulatory compliance (OPWDD) is highly preferred.
- Core Skills: Advanced proficiency in Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA), behavioral plan development, and multi-disciplinary team management. Excellent verbal and written communication skills are essential.
Physical & Logistics: Ability to maintain a non-sedentary routine and occasionally lift up to 50 pounds. Candidates must legally reside and work within NY, NJ, CT, or PA
