TemPositions is excited to partner with a renowned oceanfront institution in Monterey, California for a special event on May 7 and for future events.
We are currently seeking experienced Cooks.
In this role, cooks will support the kitchen by preparing ingredients, sauces, stocks, and service components used throughout the event. This is an excellent opportunity for culinary professionals who are confident in prep execution, kitchen organization, and maintaining strong food safety standards in a fast-paced hospitality setting.
Key responsibilities:
- Prepare ingredients, vegetables, fruits, meats, sauces, and stocks
- Maintain clean, organized prep and storage areas
- Ensure all items are properly labeled and stored
- Support the kitchen team to keep service running smoothly
- Follow food handling and safety procedures at all times
- Dress code will be provided ahead of the event
Ideal candidates will have:
- Prior cook, prep cook, banquet, or event culinary experience
- Strong knife skills and basic cooking techniques
- Knowledge of food storage and sanitation standards
- Reliability, punctuality, and a team-first attitude
- Ability to thrive in a high-volume event environment
