Job Title: Attorney – Personal Injury (Plaintiff)
Location: Woodbury, NY (On-Site)
Job Type: Full-Time
Compensation: Competitive and commensurate with experience ($100,000 – $190,000 depending on experience)
Experience Required: 4+ years in Personal Injury and/or Medical Malpractice
Bar Admission: Must be admitted and in good standing with the New York State Bar; federal court admission is a plus
About the Role:
A well-established plaintiff-side personal injury law firm is seeking a driven and experienced Personal Injury Attorney to join its growing team. This is a long-term opportunity for an attorney who thrives in a fast-paced litigation environment, values client advocacy, and wants to work closely with a supportive legal team dedicated to securing strong case outcomes.
Key Responsibilities:
Manage a caseload of personal injury and/or medical malpractice matters from intake through trial
Work collaboratively with partners, associates, and support staff to ensure efficient case progression and client satisfaction
Evaluate potential claims and develop strong case strategies
Conduct and defend depositions of plaintiffs, defendants, and third-party witnesses
Draft and review pleadings, discovery, motions, and expert disclosures
Participate in court conferences, motion hearings, and trials
Foster relationships that lead to repeat business and new referral sources
Qualifications:
Minimum of 4 years of plaintiff personal injury and/or medical malpractice litigation experience
Strong legal research, writing, and oral advocacy skills
Trial experience or trial preparation background preferred
Highly organized with excellent client service and communication abilities
Must be licensed to practice in New York and in good standing
Admission to New York federal courts is a plus
