Hygienist, Part-time
Our client is looking for a part-time Hygienist to join their team. This Federally Qualified Health Center (FQHC) provides primary care, dental, and mental health services to adults and children in Greenwich and Stamford, Connecticut.
Core Position Details
- Schedule: Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays (8:00 AM – 5:00 PM)
- Location: Greenwich and Stamford, CT
- Nature: Part-time, mission-driven, and team-oriented
Key Responsibilities
Clinical Care & Patient Education
- Perform assessments, periodontal charting, and oral cancer screenings.
- Provide preventive services like prophylaxis, scaling, sealants, and fluoride treatments.
- Take and process dental X-rays as directed by the dentist.
- Educate patients on oral hygiene techniques and provide individual counseling.
- Prepare and organize treatment rooms, instruments, and materials.
Compliance & Infection Control
- Disinfect and sterilize instruments according to CDC, OSHA, and ADA standards.
- Maintain clinical equipment and document care under HIPAA guidelines.
Teamwork & Community Engagement
- Collaborate with the dental team to ensure smooth patient flow.
- Assist with front desk, dental assistant duties, and community outreach.
Job Requirements
- Credentials: Graduate of an accredited program with an unrestricted Connecticut license.
- Certifications: Current CPR/BLS certification; Local Anesthesia certification is preferred.
- Skills: Strong communication, flexibility, and fast-paced clinical problem-solving.
- Languages: Bilingual proficiency in Spanish is a plus.
