Description

Our client is seeking a Shift Supervisor to oversee on-site services of migrants, homeless, or family clients throughout Long Island City, NY. This role supervises residential aids, supports residents, and collaborates with hotel operations and security teams to ensure quality, trauma-informed service delivery.

Schedule: Full-time 8 hour shifts, (Morning, evening and overnight)

Key Responsibilities

  • Supervise and support a team of 3–6 Community Associates.
  • Oversee daily social service operations and shift transitions.
  • Ensure culturally responsive, trauma-informed services.
  • Monitor staffing, attendance, and coverage.
  • Respond to crises and support client needs.
  • Coordinate with operations, security, and interpretation services.
  • Maintain incident reports, rosters, and documentation.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree or 2 years of relevant social services experience.
  • Experience working with vulnerable or trauma-affected populations.
  • Strong communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills.
  • Knowledge of immigration systems and social service resources preferred.
  • 2+ years of supervisory experience.
  • Bilingual English/Spanish.
