Custodian / Cleaner (Part-Time)

We are seeking a reliable, detail-oriented Part-Time Custodian / Cleaner to maintain the cleanliness, safety, and overall appearance of our facility. In this role, you will perform a variety of custodial duties to ensure a welcoming environment for staff, visitors, and clients. The ideal candidate takes pride in their work, can operate independently, and possesses a strong work ethic.

Key Responsibilities

  • Surface Cleaning: Sweep, mop, vacuum, and buff floors across offices, common areas, and hallways.
  • Sanitation: Clean and disinfect restrooms, breakrooms, and kitchens, restocking supplies like soap and paper products daily.
  • Waste Management: Empty trash, recycling, and compost bins, replacing liners and transporting waste to designated outdoor dumpsters.
  • Detailing: Dust furniture, fixtures, window sills, and blinds; clean glass doors and interior windows.
  • Facility Safety: Keep entryways clear of debris, report maintenance issues or safety hazards to management, and ensure facilities are locked and secured at the end of the shift.
  • Inventory Control: Monitor cleaning supply levels and notify supervisors when materials need to be reordered.

Qualifications & Skills

  • Experience: Previous commercial cleaning or custodial experience is preferred but not required.
  • Physical Stamina: Ability to stand, walk, bend, reach, and lift up to 50 lbs throughout the shift.
  • Efficiency: Strong time-management skills with the ability to complete tasks thoroughly within designated shift hours.
  • Reliability: Exceptional attendance record and a high degree of accountability while working unsupervised.
  • Safety Knowledge: Basic understanding of handling cleaning chemicals safely (adhering to MSDS/OSHA standards is a plus).

Position Details

  • Hours: 17.5 hours per week (Part-Time)
  • Schedule:
    • Monday: 7:00 AM – 11:00 AM
    • Tuesday: 1:30 PM – 5:30 PM
    • Friday: 8:30 AM – 1:30 PM
    • Sunday: 12:30 PM – 5:00 PM
