Operations Senior Manager 

Location: On-Site
Employment Type: Full-Time

Position Summary

A growing organization is seeking a hands-on Senior Manager of Operations to lead a high-volume operations center encompassing production, warehouse, logistics, and technical service functions.

This senior-level leader will be responsible for driving operational excellence, productivity, profitability, and customer satisfaction while building a culture of accountability and continuous improvement.

The ideal candidate is a floor-oriented operational leader with strong financial acumen, process discipline, and experience managing teams in a fast-paced production or service environment. This individual will optimize workflows, improve throughput, develop high-performing teams, and align day-to-day operations with broader business objectives.

Key Responsibilities

Operational Leadership

  • Direct daily operations across production, warehouse, logistics, and field service functions.
  • Develop strategies to improve efficiency, scalability, quality, and customer delivery.
  • Establish consistent operational standards, policies, and procedures.
  • Drive accountability and performance throughout the operation.

Production & Process Improvement

  • Monitor workflows and identify bottlenecks and opportunities for improvement.
  • Improve throughput, turnaround times, labor utilization, and overall efficiency.
  • Establish and monitor KPIs related to productivity, labor efficiency, quality, cost, margins, and on-time delivery.
  • Implement continuous improvement and Lean-based operational practices.
  • Ensure production equipment and operational systems are functioning effectively.

Financial & Business Performance

  • Oversee operational financial performance, including labor costs, expenses, productivity, and profitability.
  • Analyze operational and financial data to optimize staffing and resource allocation.
  • Partner with senior leadership on growth initiatives and operational scalability.
  • Identify cost-saving opportunities while maintaining service and quality standards.
  • Evaluate project scope, capacity, and execution plans to support profitable delivery.

Team Leadership & Development

  • Recruit, train, mentor, and develop operational leaders and staff.
  • Foster a culture of accountability, collaboration, professionalism, and continuous improvement.
  • Conduct performance evaluations and support employee development.
  • Address performance issues and implement corrective actions when needed.

Customer & Cross-Functional Collaboration

  • Partner with Sales, Customer Service, IT, and executive leadership to align operations with customer and business needs.
  • Ensure teams consistently meet service expectations, deadlines, and quality standards.
  • Support customer satisfaction through reliable execution and proactive problem-solving.

Compliance & Safety

  • Maintain a safe, organized, and compliant operational and warehouse environment.
  • Ensure adherence to company policies, regulatory requirements, and industry best practices.
  • Promote workplace safety and operational risk-management initiatives.
  • Perform other duties as required.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Operations Management, Supply Chain, or a related field preferred; equivalent experience will be considered.
  • 7–10+ years of progressive operations leadership experience in production, manufacturing, logistics, document services, or a related environment.
  • Proven experience leading operations and hourly workforce teams.
  • Strong operational and financial management capabilities.
  • Demonstrated success improving productivity, efficiency, and profitability.
  • Hands-on leadership style with a strong focus on accountability and execution.
  • Experience implementing process improvements and operational best practices.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
  • Proficiency with operational systems, reporting tools, and performance analytics.
  • Lean Management or Continuous Improvement experience preferred.
  • Ability to work on-site on a daily basis.

Preferred Experience

  • Document imaging, scanning, records management, or production services.
  • Warehouse and logistics management.
  • Production equipment and workflow optimization.
  • High-volume, deadline-driven operational environments.
