Campaign Marketing Specialist

Position Purpose:  To support the art/cultural organization's marketing efforts, with a strong focus on the organization's members, patrons, and donor prospects, coordinating the implementation of strategic initiatives for the Development and Marketing departments. Help expand awareness and cultivate audiences to meet attendance, earned and contributed revenue, and engagement goals. This is a part time (25 hours a week) paternity leave coverage role.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities 

  • Build, prepare, and deploy email campaigns, manage multiple email requests and deadlines, while prioritizing work based on campaign timing
  • Own the email routing process through building, routing, and deployment 
  • With support from the Director of Insights and Engagement and Development colleagues, help establish positioning, identify target audiences, and develop communications and marketing plans for Development initiatives and the organization's programs. 
  • Coordinate the creative executions of related materials (digital, print, outdoor, radio) and public­ facing communications (web, email, social media, direct mail, flyers, onsite posters, signage, etc.) 
  • Help develop and maintain project timelines
  • Act as liaison between marketing and development on the creation of assets for the annual gala
  • Coordinate the production of assets in partnership with Development, Programming, Creative Services, and Digital Media teams. 
  • Generate social media content in partnership with Content Strategy team to increase reach, revenue, and engagement. 
  • Ownership of creation of promotional emails based on HTML templates
  • Execute content updates on the website
  • Update, maintain and QA the organization’s digital signage channels
  • Coordinate digital signage support work with vendors and internal IT team members
  • Keep informed of developments in the fields of marketing, fundraising, communications and public relations, not-for-profit management, performing and visual arts

Required Education, Knowledge, Skills and Abilities 

  • 1-3 years of experience in email marketing, email production, and marketing operations
  • Previous experience working with an email marketing, or marketing automation platform. Experience with Prospect2 is a plus
  • Interest and knowledge of live performing arts programming
  • Interest in current fundraising, marketing, and social media strategies and best practices
  • Project management experience
  • Strong communication skills (oral & written)
  • Detail oriented, with exceptional interpersonal skills
  • Knowledge and experience with MS Office: Excel, Word, PowerPoint and Outlook
  • Willingness to work some evening or weekend hours
