Temporary Assignment
Overview
Our client, a large public-sector organization, is seeking multiple New York licensed Attorneys on a temporary basis to support a sustained increase in legal workload within its commercial and procurement operations. These roles will support high-volume contracting, complex negotiations, and compliance initiatives arising from expanded programs, policy initiatives, and operational reforms.
This is a long-term engagement supporting a legal team operating at capacity and requires attorneys with strong public-sector procurement and transactional experience.
Assignment Details
Anticipated Duration: 6+ months
Pay Rate:
1-7 years of post bar experience: $42.59/hr
7+ years of post bar experience: $44.63/hr
Key Responsibilities
Attorneys will be assigned to one or more of the following practice areas based on experience and business need:
Qualifications
J.D. and active New York bar admission in good standing (must have NY license)
3+ years of experience in general procurement contracts, transportation contracts and/or service agreements
Experience in government or public-sector contracting, procurement, or commercial transactions
Experience working collaboratively within large legal departments or government agencies preferred
Strong technological experience required (Admission process includes general technology test)

This role supports critical public initiatives and requires attorneys who are adaptable, detail-oriented, and comfortable working in a fast-paced, high-accountability environment. We need someone who is eager to learn, a team player and can see a project through to the end. Given the large volume of work, we weigh the technology skills more heavily.
