Description
Role is fully on-site; Monday through Friday. A well-established company is seeking an experienced Accounting Operations Manager to oversee its Premium Accounting, Accounts Receivable, Cash Applications, Collections, and payment operations.
This is a hands-on management position overseeing a team of approximately ten employees while partnering with senior management on accounting operations, workflow improvements, and special projects.
Responsibilities
- Manage the daily operations of the Premium Accounting and Cash Applications functions
- Oversee accounts receivable, cash application, collections, and payment processing
- Ensure timely and accurate payments to carriers, vendors, and other business partners
- Monitor outstanding receivables and coordinate collection efforts
- Review and analyze customer accounts and payment activity
- Respond to internal and external inquiries regarding payments, receivables, and account balances
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or related field preferred
- 5+ years of progressive accounting, AR, cash applications, collections, or related experience
- Previous supervisory or management experience
- Strong understanding of accounts receivable and cash application processes
- Strong Excel skills and experience working with accounting/ERP systems

Candidates may come from media, real estate, financial services, banking, insurance, insurance brokerage and/or professional services.
