We’re partnering with a client to hire Cooks to prepare fresh, quality meals in high-volume kitchens. It’s a great fit for someone who works well under pressure, takes pride in their craft, and knows how to keep things running smoothly behind the line.

Responsibilities:

  • Prepare food items according to designated recipes and quality standards.
  • Maintain cleanliness and comply with food sanitation standards at all times.
  • Practice correct food handling and food storage procedures according to federal, state, local and company regulations.
  • Good communication skills both written and verbal.
  • Satisfactorily communicate with guests, management and co-workers to their understanding.
  • Endure various physical movements throughout the work areas.
  • Must be able to stand and exert well-paced mobility for up to 8-hours in length.
  • Exert physical effort in lifting/transporting at least 50 pounds. Push/pull carts and equipment up to 150 pounds.
  • Job involves working under variable temperature conditions and noise levels.
  • Culinary degree is preferred but not required.

Skills & Experience:

  • Prepare requisitions for supplies and food items, as needed.
  • Ensure knowledge of menu and all food products.
  • Possess sufficient dexterity to use all kitchen equipment.
  • Ability to work with cutlery in a proficient, safe and swift manner.
  • Manage guest orders in a friendly, timely and efficient manner.
  • Visually inspect all food sent from the kitchen
  • Stock and maintain designated food station(s).
