Senior Accountant

Our client, a Global Financial Services Organization, is adding a Senior Accountant to their team.

In this position, the ideal candidate will be responsible for:

• Preparing journal entries
• Assisting in financial GAAP closings
• Support the annual and quarterly GAAP and STATutory financial reporting process (aka: Yellowbook, Annual Statement)
• Prepare worksheets to substantiate and document account balances
• Reconciliations of General Ledger accounts
• Support Budget Process and Variance Analysis & Fluctuations in General Ledger Accounts
• Special Projects such as Expense Analysis and Accounting Projects

The position Requires:

• Bachelors Degree in Accounting
• 3+ years experience with Corporate Financial Reporting Property Casualty Insurance reporting, both STATutory and GAAP reporting is preferred (aka: Yellowbook, Annual Statement)
• Professional communication skills, written and verbal
• Detail Oriented approach
• The ability to work independently and in a team environment
• Strong Microsoft Excel using pivot tables and VLookups
