Description

Our client, a long-term care facility, is seeking a New York licensed Attorney to assist in the Regulatory Affairs Department of their Bronx office. This is a full-time permanent position for a Junior Regulatory Affairs Attorney with experience in a long-term care facility. The Junior Regulatory Affairs Attorney will be responsible for handling activities related to contracts, compliance, surveys, audits, investigations, provider network and relations, and other regulatory compliance matters. The ideal Attorney must have at least 2 years of experience in the health care industry, specifically managed long-term care experience. This is a junior level position that requires a confident, analytical minded individual who can interface and communicate with managers, clients, and the general public.

Responsibilities:

  • Reviewing agreements, comparing documents, organizing materials, retaining details, and tracking status of projects
  • Identifying problems, collecting data, establishing facts, and drawing conclusions
  • Analyzing and understanding general business correspondence, complex documents, and procedure manuals
  • Effectively communicating with and responding to questions or complaints from groups of managers, clients, and the general public
  • Drafting responses and recommendations


Skills:

  • Actively licensed to practice law in the state of New York
  • At least 2 years of Healthcare industry experience, specifically managed long-term care experience
  • Experience reviewing legal and commercial agreements
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to investigate incidents/claims and recommend solutions
  • Knowledge of local, state, and federal laws and regulations
  • Ability to handle complex transactions such as preparing data, reports, and corporate documents
  • Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate effectively with managers, clients, and the public
  • Must be detail-oriented with excellent organizational and multi-tasking skills
  • Must be able to work independently and create, compose, and edit correspondence, reports, tables, and legal memorandums
  • Excellent writing and proofreading skills
