Registered Dietician

Prominent hospital in Rockaway Beach (Queens), Manhattan and the Bronx seeks experienced Registered Dietician to join their Food Service department. Interested candidates must have a RD License, a minimum of 2 years recent dietician experience, preferably in an acute care facility, hospital or nursing home. Flexibility to work weekends and holidays is needed. Hospital requires all candidates to be fully vaccinated.

Job Duties/Responsibilities:

• Plans food and nutrition programs
• Supervises meal preparation and delivery
• Provides education and guidance with meal planning
• Care Coordination
• Helps prevent and treat illnesses by promoting healthy eating habits and suggesting diet modifications
• Calculates calorie counts and documents results
• Compiles nutrition screens
• Nutrition evaluation and recommendations
• Provides nutrition follow-up in clinic and basic diet instructions

Skills/Requirements

• Minimum of 2 years recent dietitian experience
• Must be flexible to work weekends and holidays
• Bachelor’s Degree required; Master’s Degree preferred
• Registered Dietician (RD) License
• Certified Dietician Nutritionist with NY state (CDN)
• Registered by the Commission on Registration (CDR) as a RD
• Proof of COVID vaccination required by Hospital 
• BLS Certification from the American Heart Association a plus

Hours: M-F (8am-4pm) including holidays and rotating weekends
