Job Summary:
Non-profit seeks a Contributions Associate who will be responsible for accurately and promptly processing contributions received from members into the Enterprise Resource Programming (ERP) system via Net Suite. Contributions is a vital function of the General Service Office.
Essential Job Functions:
- Process contributions received from the Fellowship into the ERP – heavy volume of checks received yearly.
- Process 3-4 batches daily of contributions received from the Fellowship. There are about 40 transactions in each batch.
- Making remote bank deposits.
- Process Canadian currency contributions in ERP system and scans checks through in office scanner.
- Ensures contribution is from member prior to processing contribution.
- Researches and matches groups and individuals to ERP and ensures contributions are credited to correct group or member.
- Maintain accurate account information as provided by customer, creating new accounts as needed.
- Sends proper acknowledgement of contribution to members that provide email addresses.
- Forward member requests for additional assistance to Member Services Department.
- Meets month-end deadlines for accounting purposes.
- Provide information and documentation to auditors’ requests regarding contributions.
- Returns contributions that are in question back to customer with a letter explaining the return or requesting more information.
- Process small number of cash contributions received in the mail and deposits cash to bank monthly.
Qualifications
- Excellent computer skills with knowledge of the MS Office programs, especially Excel.
- Experience with NetSuite is a plus.
- Data entry experience.
- Associates degree or certification in Accounting/Finance or relevant studies, or equivalent practical experience.
- Strong attention to detail
- Knowledge of worldwide geography and mathematics.
- Self-motivated and organized.
- Familiarity with accounting practices.
- Business savvy
- Availability to work in person a minimum of five days per week.
- Some weekend or evening work may be required during busy times, General Service Board weekends, or Conference.
- Ability to sit at a desk for a 7-hour workday with breaks.
- Ability to use a computer including tasks such as typing and using software and the ability to read and interpret data on a computer screen for extended periods.
- Ability to work in an indoor office setting with controlled climate conditions.
- Tolerance to moderate noise levels typical of an office setting.
