Medical Receptionist Spanish and English
The Medical Receptionist works with patients and their families to address concerns or special needs that may arise during their course of treatment within the medical office setting. This Patient Liaison works directly with various members of the healthcare team, and administration to solve problems that patients and their families may have with the goal of ensuring a positive patient experience during their time in our office.
Location: Forest Hills Queens location.
Knowledgeable with using all the equipment in the front office
Performing the daily functions of a front desk receptionist
Manage the patient check-in and check-out office process.
Adhere to all the policies and procedures outlined in the employee manual.
Ongoing monitoring of the physician office assigned to you schedules including identify abnormal changes in the schedule on a weekly basis and make recommendations.
Be an ongoing resource and role model for the staff.
Assist patients, family members or other clients with concern and empathy; respect their confidentiality and privacy and communicate with them in a courteous and respectful manner.
Follow proper reporting procedures for actual or potential accidents and/or incidents so follow-up and/or prevention can occur.
Record/report the need for service maintenance or repair of equipment and remove any faulty equipment from service.
Provide regular updates to your Manager
Participate in continuing education.
Come in early and stay late if needed include covering when someone is out sick or there is an emergency.
Attend meetings on an ad hoc basis.
Communicate regularly with the Manager about anything issues
Promote a positive work environment.
Communicate regularly with the physicians about changes in the office that affect the daily schedule.
Proactively anticipate issues and identify alternatives to problems that may arise in the office.
Be flexible with the work schedule to meet the needs of the practice (will sometimes have to work Saturdays)
Exercise sound judgment in decision making; requires minimum supervision.
