Position Title: Logistics - Supply Chain Command Center Coordinator
Status: Temp to Hire
Location: On-site, Sunset Park, Brooklyn
Hours: 4 days a week, 10-hr shift, Monday - Friday, 6 am – 5 pm

Job Summary
Logistics-Support Supply Chain Center Coordinator assists with day-to-day real-time routing, operational planning, communications, and logistics on pickups from food donors, supply deliveries to food partners, and deliveries to network agencies in New York City. Provide on-the-road support to Drivers by listening and applying, when necessary, feedback to improve route efficiency. Assess monthly KPIs to help improve route performance. Be a team player and solutions-oriented to problem solve through routing challenges and bottlenecks to support meeting distribution goals.
Essential functions:
· Provide updates on daily routing status and E.T.A. updates to internal departments.
· Manage phone lines to support Drivers and Network Partners.
· Process Undeliverable Stops in CRM; Ensure H.H. Undeliverable To Be Confirmed Queue is cleared E.O.D.
· Schedule Call-Ins, Additional Deliveries of Overflow, and Manage Re-Routing of Stops as necessary.
· Create R.O.S. for all External Relations Special Events and Food Show Rescues; Coordinate between all teams and monitor the event day.
· Assist Manager in Gathering Route Feedback from Drivers for Daily Routing and re-routing projects.
· Analyze Undeliverable Data for Schedule Recommendations.
· Support Supply Chain Teams with real-time day-to-day routing and logistics of pickups and deliveries in the five boroughs and New Jersey utilizing Microsoft Dynamics Routing Software: Field Service.
· Problem-solving to mitigate supply chain challenges, bottlenecks, delays, and cancellations.
· Support Transportation and Warehousing Teams with daily route reconciliations to ensure all pounds are accounted for and all “undeliverable” stops’ details are confirmed within our CRM system.
· Coordinate logistics for special events in New York City.
· Support Supply Chain Teams with weekend operations via on-call rotations, responding to and communicating routing updates when necessary.
· Manage inquiries from the public, interoffice departments, and donors via phone and email.
· Comfortable with leading team discussions and meetings via in-person and on Microsoft Teams.
· Coordinate logistics for all events organized by External Relations and Supply Chain New York Teams requiring a run of the show.
· Responsible for analyzing costs for donor supply outputs vs. Inputs.
· Assess the costs associated with efficiently routing stops and the impact on driver hours and mileage.
· Fast-paced decision-making for time-sensitive food pickups and deliveries to reduce food waste costs.
Position Requirements & Skills:
· Education: Associate degree or 1-year equivalent experience.
· Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work proactively and take initiative.
· Strong interpersonal and customer service skills.
· Must be able to work independently and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
· Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite applications and ability to learn various software applications.
· Knowledge of logistics and how food should be properly handled/transported.
