Description

Our company, TemPositions Eden Hospitality (TemPositions is a 56-year-old staffing company) is currently seeking professional, qualified line cooks to work with one of our hotel clients in midtown Manhattan.   The right candidates will have at least 2 years a la carte line cook experience that encompasses broiler and sauté stations.  Shifts may include day, evening and weekend schedules.  Positions have the the potential to be long term or temp to hire. 

Responsibilities:

  • Set-up and break-down and sanitation of assigned work area
  • Basic food prep and cooking for a la carte service
  • Follow sanitation guidelines at all times
  • Adhere to safety standards, i.e., use cutting glove
  • Wear non-slip work shoes at all times


Skills:

  • 2 years experience in restaurant or hotel a la carte operation
    Experience in broiler and sauté stations
    Ability to multi task, handling multiple orders at once
    Excellent Knife Skills
    Great communication skills
    Follow instructions
    Ability to adapt to fast-changing environments
    Flexibility
    Team Player
    Follow all sanitation guidelines
    NYC Food Handlers Certificate preferred but not required
    High school diploma or equivalent preferred but not required
