Position Title: Lead Distribution Center Associate
Status: Full-Time – Direct Hire
Location: On-site, Sunset Park, Brooklyn, New York
Hours: Monday -Friday, 3 am – 11 am (2 am start time for training)
Salary: $50,000 – $55,000 per year

Job Summary
Reporting to the Warehouse Manager, the Lead Distribution Center Associate is responsible for directing workflow for DCA’s as laid out by Warehouse Management.
The Lead Distribution Center Associate will load and unload the fleet of trucks as directed. Responsible for receiving, moving, storing, and loading merchandise with use of material lift machinery as directed. Experience with Food warehousing, shelf life, and waste management is preferred. Forklift assessment will be done in interview.
Essential functions:
- Direct workflow for DCA’s as laid out by Warehouse Management. Point of contact in absence of Warehouse Management.
- Manage outbound loading of route vehicles. Print and manage outbound receipts as needed. Load and unload trucks/pull and put away product as directed. Ship and receive products based on customer orders efficiently and accurately.
- Conduct inspection of goods for damages, report, and document findings. Reports accurate reconcile of delivery with shipper’s Bill of Lading.
- Ensure that the product is stored in appropriate areas of the facility. Inspect current inventory and report inventory discrepancies. Manage inventory based on FEFO (first expire-first out) guidelines when applicable. Maintain warehouse equipment and document daily pre and post-inspections.
- Maintain warehouse sanitation. Perform routine warehouse maintenance. Clean warehouse and grounds as directed. Will perform routine maintenance of facilities as directed.
Minimum Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalency required
- 2-4 years inventory/warehouse management experience required
- Prior warehouse experience within the food industry preferred
- Experience using inventory management software required
- Familiarity with handheld scanning systems and WMS systems
- Ability to operate a stand on pallet jack, sit-down forklift and Reach Truck required

Physical Requirements/Work Environment:
- Ability to lift 50+ lbs.
- Be well-spoken, Speak clearly and communicate with others
- Operate a stand-on pallet jack, sit-down forklift and Reach Truck
- Operate routine equipment, such as computers, calculators, etc.
- Available to work irregular hours when needed
- Read and interpret data and documents, including spreadsheets and reports in printed form and on computer screens.
- Move fingers, wrists, arms, legs and feet in a repetitive manner as necessary to operate tools and equipment.
