A business advisory, interim management, and investment banking firm dedicated to delivering exceptional results for middle-market clients is seeking a Part-Time Facilities Associate to help maintain their New York office’s cleanliness, hygiene, and overall welcoming environment. This role reports directly to the Office Manager and offers flexible scheduling. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, reliable, and thrives in a professional office setting.

Key Responsibilities

  • Maintain cleanliness and hygiene in men’s and women’s lavatories, ensuring counters, sinks, and toilet seats are wiped and sanitized regularly.
  • Replenish supplies such as toilet seat covers, paper towels, and liquid hand soap to ensure availability at all times.
  • Clean and maintain the outdoor terrace, wiping down furniture weekly and covering/uncovering patio furniture as required by weather or season.
  • Unload the dishwasher after the afternoon cycle to ensure kitchenware is ready for use.
  • Perform weekly refrigerator cleaning and wipe down surfaces, including counters, sinks, and coffee machines.
  • Break down and tie cardboard boxes for proper disposal.
  • Assist with conference room catering setup and cleanup, including packaging leftovers, discarding garbage, and sanitizing tables after use.
  • Disinfect high-touch surfaces (e.g., door handles, light switches, chairs, and reception areas) to minimize the spread of germs.
  • Ensure the office adheres to cleanliness standards outlined by company policies and procedures.
  • Contribute to a high-performing, inclusive workplace culture through teamwork and responsiveness.

Qualifications

  • 3+ years of professional experience in a similar facilities or cleaning role.
  • Exceptional attention to detail with a commitment to maintaining high cleanliness standards.
  • Proven ability to work independently, manage time effectively, and perform manual tasks.
  • Predictable and reliable availability to meet scheduling needs.
  • Strong team-player mindset and adaptability to thrive in a collaborative, small-team environment.
  • Eagerness to be responsive and proactive at all times.

Hours: M-TH (11am-3pm)
