Executive Assistant to Senior Rabbi

Executive Assistant to Senior Rabbi needed for life cycle events, worship services, congregational programs, temple committees, education classes, communal involvement, pastoral work, rabbinic and professional conferences. 2 week training. Monday - Friday, 9am - 5pm, Occasional Friday night services and Holidays. Immediate start date. Temp to Perm.
Responsibilities:
- Maintain the Rabbi's calendars, schedule all appointments and handle all correspondence by phone and email.
- Schedule meetings and prepare paperwork for all religious services, classes, bar/bat mitzvah students, wedding couples, baby namings, funerals, minivan services, and unveilings.
- Coordinate arrangements, and travel for Rabbi's speaking engagements, guest lectures, conferences, national commissions, out of town meetings.
- Screen all calls, open and sort mail, prepare correspondence, orders books and ritual items, prepare agendas for meetings, create reports, complete check requests, track discretionary fund accounts, prepare setup forms, book room reservations, and handle special projects.
- Work on Erev Shabbat and Jewish Holidays as needed.

- Computer knowledge - Microsoft Word, Excel, Access, Outlook, Google programs, data base management, Internet, mass email programs
- Coordinate mailings for yahrzeits, donation acknowledgments and life-cycles events
- Knowledge of Judaism and Jewish practices a plus
