A Manhattan nonprofit whose mission is to promote the flourishing of New Yorkers overcoming homelessness and marginalization by providing compassionate services and a transformative community seeks a Donor Services Coordinator. The candidate should be a fast learner and show attention to detail.


1.            Complete Daily Tasks Related to Gift Processing. 

a.            Import constituent data into database

b.            Import gifts and update donors’ biographical data at the time of gift import

c.             Reconcile any gift discrepancies with gift processing vendor

d.            Produce and post daily closing reports

e.            Support the Donor Services (DS) Supervisor in quality assurance and revenue reports as needed


2.            Maintain a Trusting Relationship with Donors

a.            Answer donor calls and inquires  

b.            Notify donors of returned checks and declined credit cards


3.            Assist with Gifts Receipting

a.            Create and submit receipts and weekly Welcome Packets to gift processing vendor


4.            Assist with the Monthly Giving Program

a.            Draft communications and make phone calls to recurring donors to remind and alert them of lapses and changes


5.            Assist the Database Team with special projects as instructed by the Donor Services Supervisor and Database Manager.  Responsibilities may include:

a.            Creating donor and gift reports requested by Development team members, under the supervision of the Donor Services Supervisor

b.            Mass updates of donor records in database


6.            Assist with the Honor/Memorial Program

a.            Mail requested notifications within a week of processing of each gift


Database Experience Needed: Salesforce is preferred and Omatic is a plus.

Schedule: 8 am to 4 30 pm or 8 30 am to 5 pm, Monday to Friday
