Responsibilities:
- Familiarity with document review workflows: Privilege/Responsiveness Review, Redactions, Conceptual Searching
- Experience with electronic document review technology
- Seeking candidates with fluency in the following languages: Spanish; French; Chinese; Portuguese; German; Italian; Dutch; Russian and Korean
- Duration depends on the project; opportunities varies from 1 week to 6 months; possibly longer
- Flexible scheduling; must be able to commit to a minimum of 40-hours per week with 7 AM to 7 PM Monday through Thursday; 7AM to 5PM Friday
- Draft and manage agreements involving IP, including license agreements, manufacturing agreements, and supply agreements
- Advise and counsel clients on matters related to intellectual property, including patents, trademarks, and copyrights
- Draft, file and prosecute patent applications on behalf of clients
- Prepare cross-examination and deposition outlines, as well as pretrial documents including subpoenas, affidavits, and correspondence to opposing counsel.
- Research and communicate current and potential changes and issues with Medicare and Medicaid regulations to company departments.
- Draft internal memos, subpoenas and various discovery documents.
- Perform research on client-specific questions regarding Medicare regulations, guidance and process.
- Practice consist of insurance defense, plaintiff's personal injury and general liability caseload.
Skills:
- Active California bar admission and status in good standing
