TemPositions Eden Hospitality has immediate openings for bakers in NYC, including all 5 boroughs. Our client is a retail operation where daily baking is done on site at each store. Position may be temp to perm. Schedules are 5 days but will encompass 7 days in the week including weekends and holidays. This is a great opportunity to begin working with a great company as NYC begins to open up!
Schedules: 1:00AM to 9:00AM
Experience & Compensation:
•One month of any baking experience is required
•Up to 1 year of experience= $17 per hour
•More than 1 year of experience= $18 per hour
Responsibilities:
The Baker is responsible for carrying out operations and productions that takes place in the kitchen such as following recipes, baking and preparation of all breads, pastries & desserts. This individual is responsible for maintaining the in-store production process to make the workplace safe and hygienic for all employees. The ideal candidate will be passionate about baking, quality, customer satisfaction and safety of the workplace.
Skills:
KNOWLEDGE AND RESPONSIBILITIES
•Responsible for frying donuts, placing toppings and decorating as needed
•General Oven Duties (Checking dough conditioner)
•Preparing all needed materials and ingredients
•Responsible for scaling and shaping of all breads, loaves, and pastries
•Sanitization procedures, maintaining overall cleanliness of work station and kitchen
•General knowledge of production methods and organization of bread production
•Receive, stock, and store food in designated containers and storage areas
•Inventory of available product
•Complete various reports for records such as production, usage, and waste
•Perform other related duties as assigned
WHAT YOU NEED TO HAVE
•Knowledge of food production, quality control and safety
•At least 1 month of baking experience required
*Food Handlers Certificate preferred but not required
•Effective communication skills and ability to work in a team environment
•Ability to multi-task
•Provide good customer service
•Bilingual with Spanish or Korean is a plus, but not mandatory
