Accountant

TGC Search is actively seeking a Accountant on an immediate, full-time, on-site, direct hire basis!

Our client is a fast-growing global manufacturing organization is located in Long island City. 

The ideal candidate will be responsible for timely and accurate preparation of financial accounting data in a variety of areas. It is essential that this candidate brings analytical and organizational skills in order to best support the accounting team. Responsibilities:

• Involvement in month end close.
• Reconciliation of sales tax and the monthly/quarterly preparation for tax filing.
• Experience in QuickBooks.
• Assist internal and external audits.
• Supporting the Accounts Receivable and Accounts Payable teams.
• Maintaining and reconciling inventory records
• Investigating and correcting inventory discrepancies
• Monitoring inventory levels and trends
• Preparing inventory reports
• Updating general ledgers
• Gathering and analyzing data
• Support audits and assessments
• Sales Tax reconciliation and preparation
• Participating in the monthly closing and reporting activities

Requirements:

• BA in Accounting, finance, or any related field
• Minimum of 2 years’ experience in accounting preferably within Manufacturing
