Position Summary:

DESKTOP SUPPORT SPECIALISTS (temp)

Location:

New York, NY

Description:

Our advertising, publishing and online clients have short-term (3- 6 months plus) projects available for IT Support Specialists, all levels.

Skills and Experience Required:

  • Respond to desktop support calls
  • Resolve issues with desktop applications
  • Installing, upgrading, removing desktop applications
  • Installing, repairing, replacing network and personal printers
  • Support departmental offices through in-person visits, phone, helpdesk software, email, etc.
  • Specific Qualifications Required:

  • Thorough knowledge and troubleshooting of MAC and PC hardware and peripherals
  • Thorough Knowledge of Windows 2000/XP, Vista, Mac OS X
  • Understanding of Windows Active Directory user accounts, security permissions and rights
  • Good working knowledge of Microsoft applications, including Office Suite, Acrobat and other graphics programs
  • Troubleshooting of printers and fax machines
  • Troubleshooting of Handheld Devices
  • Excellent organizational and problem-solving skills
  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to work with various levels of users
  • Ability to effectively prioritize and complete tasks with little or no assistance
